Recompiling existing application code

You must recompile your existing (pre-Release 10.1A) applications if you are using the Release 10.1A OpenEdge 64-bit product. (Note that it is also recommended, however not required, that you recompile your application code whenever you upgrade to a new OpenEdge release. For specifics on when you must recompile, see the appendix on r-code features and functions in OpenEdge Deployment: Managing 4GL Applications .)
